Going to Bed- Preschool Sleep Problems

I have one child that can barely stay awake past 7:00- he does not nap during the day. I have another that naps at school for over 2 hours and she stays up too late. Two nights ago, we decided to put her in her room again to go to bed. My husband gave her the Leapster thinking it would help her to go to sleep after being bored. NO! She was up until 10:30! This morning she woke up in a pretty good mood, considering. She kept saying, "I so tired." "I need to rest Mama." And it was true. I cannot believe she made it through the morning! We are off from school/work tomorrow and the weekend, so we should see if she catches up on her sleep. As for the one that sleeps early, he gets up early too! It is never ending!

Earth Day Reminders for Preschoolers

My son learned about Earth Day at school. They sorted out recyclables and talk about saving energy by turning off the lights. It was to cute when he came home since I could not even figure out he was saying 'Earth"... you know those /r/s are hard at that age! Make sure you are teaching your children to be earth conscious. We recycle quite a bit in our home and make the kids take their recycling to the bins in the garage. We are also using a clothes line and reusable grocery bags. Every little bit helps teach them the right way to teach the earth!

Spending Time With Daddy

This weekend, I went to a women's conference, and the children were able to spend some time with Daddy. They got to go to the play ground and play in the slip-n-slide. They even got to sleep in his bed on Friday night. Although I felt slightly guilty leaving them for the weekend, I was renewed in spirit and they had quality time with their dad. And of course, they both crave that time with their dad anyway, so it was nice for them to have a reason for no mommy time! And I don't think the kids really missed me anyway! LOL!
