Make Playdough

Making playdough is a great activity to do with preschoolers and toddlers. These are safe recipes for those that may be tempted to taste it!

Peanut-Buddy Play Dough (edible- YUM!)

3 1/2 cups Creamy Peanut Butter

4 cups powdered sugar

4 cups powdered milk

3 1/2 cups corn syrup

Mix ingredients by hand. Decorate and eat! (Great food toddlers- of course without peanut allergies!)

Cloud Playdough (safe, but will not taste good!)

1 cup water

1 1/2 c vegetable oil

6 c flour

Add a few drops of food coloring to water. Combine water, oil and flour

in a large bowl. Knead well. Add more water if necessary in small amounts

until the dough is soft and stretchy. Cloud dough should be used on a

washable surface for it is very greasy.

These don't keep for very long if you leave them out. Make sure your place them in an airtight container and then in the refrigerator for longer use. You can also add food coloring to the flour recipes for more fun!

One of my favorite books is Mudworks. It has just about every dough or building material recipe ever thought of. The kids loved it!
