Science Centers for Preschoolers

Today I took a field trip with some elementary students to the science center. I would have thought it would have been too much for a preschooler, but I could really see how a preschooler can do most of what is there, just a different level. I plan on taking my family next week during Spring Break. It is an educational but fun experience!

What to do with Easter eggs?

Plastic Easter eggs are a great manipulative for a matching activity. Take all the eggs apart and have your child put them back together. They have to match size or color, but also have to use fine motor skills to latch the eggs together. Another great idea is to continue to have egg hunts. Have your child hide the eggs and a sibling or parent hunt. The hunt can go on for days.

And try to recycle the usable eggs for another year. They are not recyclable (as far as I can tell) and are durable enough for multi-year hunts, if you don't lose them!

Horton Hears a Who- Must See!

We went to see Horton Hears a Who today with our son (4), our daughter (2), and our niece (4). They all loved it. It was actually my daughters first theater movie and she sat through the whole thing. I am not a fan of doctor Suess, and I even loved the movie. I had read reviews of the movie being a bad stretch of the actual book, but since I do not remember the book, that was not an issue for me. It was wonderfully animated and kept all of our attention through the whole thing. I highly recommended it for preschoolers and toddlers.

Sales Leads for Business

Having been too familiar with companies that offer bad sales leads for businesses, I am happy to find a sales lead management company that interviews leads before selling them to sales reps. The Lead Dog lead generation company has a variety of service and a customer service promise to answer all inquiries within one business day. The offer lead management, lead generation, capture pages, and other services that are of a higher quality. If you are looking for leads, check out their site and see if they can help.

Easter Basket Ideas

Easter baskets could cost a fortune! If you have more than one child, you can really rack up the costs. We try to do a variety of things in our baskets, less candy, more of other things. This year, they will have a stuffed dog with bunny ears, side walk chalk, a book, some special candy, and bubbles.

Here are more ideas for frugal Easter baskets.

And remember, it is not about the Easter basket, it is about the resurrection. We do the Easter baskets for the joy of the celebration, but we know the true reason is the Jesus rose again on the third day!

Matthew 28:2-5
2 Suddenly there was a violent earthquake, because an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and approached [the tomb]. He rolled back the stone and was sitting on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his robe was as white as snow. 4 The guards were so shaken from fear of him that they became like dead men.
5 But the angel told the women, "Don't be afraid, because I know you are looking for Jesus who was crucified.
